26in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1997) with raised ventilated matt top-rib, 3in. chambers, Invector multichokes (with spares), hold-open toplever, manual safety with integral barrel selector switch, gold-washed single trigger, action engraved in high relief with scrolling acanthus motifs on a matt background, with central gold-inlaid vignettes of a brace of pheasant in flight and a flush of mallard, the underside gold-inlaid with a pointer, the triggerguard gold-inlaid with a lone partridge, retaining virtually full original finish, 14 1/2in. figured semi-pistolgrip stock (cracked at hand) including original Browning buttplate, weight 6lb. 11oz.
