THREE VINTAGE CATALOGUES, 1967-1970 - Churchill (Gunmakers) Ltd, 7 Bury Street, St James's, London.
a) A very rare and original black guncase label (5in x 3 1/2 in) with gold lettering. This guncase label was produced upon the removal of Churchill's to Atkin, Grant & Lang's premises in Bury Street and before they amalgamated with Atkin, Grant & Lang. This guncase label is displayed on the front jacket cover of Don Masters' book, THE HOUSE OF CHURCHILL.
b) Churchill's famous large white catalogue containing 8 flyers including price lists for 1967 and 1970.
1970-1976 - Churchill, Atkin, Grant & Lang, 7 Bury Street, St James's, London
a) Original black guncase label (6in x 4in) with gold lettering listing the 10 prestigious London gunmakers that came under the umbrella title of CAG&L.
b) 1975 - Black Churchill, Atkin, Grant & Lang catalogue with 9 flyers and 1975 price list.
1952 - A small booklet, entitled THE CENTENARY OF THE BREECH LOADER BY STEPHEN GRANT & JOSEPH LANG LTD written by William Robson, the firm's managing director, with assistance from leading firearms expert, W. Keith Neal. According to tradition, Joseph Lang built his very first breech-loader in 1852 after examining a French model at the 1851 Great Exhibition.
a) This 1952 booklet itemizes, with illustrations, the historical weapons on display in Grant & Lang's exhibition at 7 Bury Street, St James's with the title A SMALL EXHIBITION To Mark The Centenary of the Breech Loader. The front cover shows the famous 1826 drawing by Reinagle, engraved by Scott of Sportsman and Dogs Out Shooting. The book with the original engraving had belonged to Joseph Lang (1797 1868). Also in the exhibition were 20 "Additional Exhibits of Historical and Technical Interest". These firearms were loaned by Mr W. Keith Neal, the firearms expert and this booklet contains his addendum.
b) In 1972 the new owners of Churchill, Atkin, Grant & Lang celebrated 150 Years of Shotgun History and their green brochure is included here.
c) 25/01/1996 - Photocopy of Frederick Wilkinson's SHOOTING TIMES' article detailing the sale of Keith Neal's firearms collection at Christies on 8/11/1995. W. Keith Neal died on 10 April 1990.
d) 8/12/2005 - Photocopy of Bill Harriman's SHOOTING TIMES' article about W. Keith Neal.
