circa 1870, with blued 3in. barrel-group (losses to finish), plain brass frame signed 'TIPPING & LAWDEN SHARP'S PATENT' in a circle around the hammer axis screw on the left hand side, centrally mounted blued hammer with rotary auto-indexing nose, smooth walnut one-piece grip and push button opener with long exposed sping beneath the action TOGETHER WITH a later amateur-produced wood storage case compartmented and lined in green baize and containing the original clearing rod and provision for eight rounds
