A WORLD WAR TWO JAPANESE 'GOOD LUCK' FLAG OR 'HINOMARU YOSEGAKI',
of lightweight raw silk (some holes and stains), the central red circle device surrounded by numerous hand-inked Japanese inscriptions, approximately 30in. wide by 25in. deep
Other Notes: these small silk flags inscribed by friends and family were given to Japanese servicemen about to depart to war, a tradition which reached its peak during World War Two
