A FINE EARLY SIGNED WAKIZASHI BLADE IN A SHIRA-SAYA,
believed late 15th to early 16th century, with 14 1/4in. curved hatchet-point blade, carved 'horimono' to the left hand side of blade with twin narrow short fullers to the right, clearly visible 'hamon', signed tang with four re-mount holes (piercing signature) in a later hardwood 'shira-saya', fine condition throughout
