A LATE GEORGIAN MIDSHIPMAN'S DIRK,
English, circa 1820, with double-edged stiletto 12in. blade with traces of etching (some dark staining and shallow pitting), gilded cross-guard with oak-leaf and acorn moulded quillions, ring-turned ivory hilt with bulbous pommel and gilt metal carved ferrule, TOGETHER WITH its black leather scabbard with gilded brass mounts (distressing to leather and loss to gilding throughout)
