A GOOD VICTORIAN FOLDING LOCK-KNIFE, MODEL 'SELF PROTECTOR',
circa 1880, with clip-point 4 1/4in. locking blade, the left hand side signed at the forte and etched along its full length 'SELF PROTECTOR' between a field of scrolls, white metal cross-guard bolsters embossed with rococo shell and scroll designs, the pommel en-suite, inlet buffalo horn smooth scales decorated with five brass pins, the two large attaching rivets covered with circular mother-of-pearl inlays and release catch to the top-strap, (some mild staining and age chipping)
