circa 1820, of flat slightly curved bevel-edged form, border and scroll engraving inhabited by a pheasant and signed 'FORSYTH & CO PATENT', borderline and scroll engraved hammer inhabited by a pheasant, the striker-nose replaceable, apertures for the scent-bottle, anvil and operating spring (all absent), serial numbered internally, missing mainspring
