circa 1840, with 6in. octagonal twist-iron barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, scroll engraved hooked breech with inlaid platinum line, platinum plug, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock signed 'GAMESON', slab-sided hammer (broken off at neck and missing), sliding safe, walnut three-quarter stock with swept chequered butt, iron grip-cap with central trap-door, iron furniture, spring-steel belt hook to left hand side and captive iron under-barrel stirrup ramrod
