circa 1845 and an official conversion from flintlock, with round slightly tapering 6in. barrel, various ordnance stamps to breech, solid rounded tang, plain step-tailed lock engraved with a crown over 'VR' and signed 'TOWER' at the tail, borderline engraved hammer, walnut full-stock, brass butt-cap with iron lanyard ring, brass trigger-guard bow and nose-plate, captive iron stirrup ramrod, the side of stock stamped ''W. PARKER' together with a Board of Ordnance crow's foot arrow, iron surfaces brushed bright
