POWELL & SON. 35-37 CARRS LANE BIRMINGHAM.' and gold-inlaid '1' and '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, actions with short side bolsters, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, finely engraved with acanthus scrollwork and floral bouquets, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 15in. figured stocks, weight 6lb. 5oz., in their leather motor case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were completed in September 1964 as 'a pair of Powell No.3 A&D ejector guns' at a cost of £548.12.6
