for 1898, with blued round 6in. barrel signed and with patent dates to 1895, blued fluted swing-out cylinder, blued frame and chequered hard-rubber grips embossed 'COLT', the heel inscribed 'USN' over an anchor device together with '.38DA' a triangle with a letter 'J' within, 'No. 11448' over 'UNJ' and the serial number, much original finish but chipped and scuffed; TOGETHER WITH a period full flap 'USN' leather holster
