circa 1800, with false-rifled 2 1/2in. turn-off barrel (frozen), Birmingham proofs, squared borderline engraved action with trophies of flags and shields, the central area with a borderline oval signed 'T. TIPPING' on the left and 'LONDON' on the right, central hammer, sliding safe to the top-tang, slab-sided walnut butt with diamond shaped escutcheon to wrist, iron trigger-guard bow acting as the release catch for the under- barrel sprung bayonet, finish stained
