circa 1800, with round 39in. barrel, block fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight, the top of barrel near breech engraved '28', moulded band at rear of breech-block, solid hump-back tang, military pattern lock signed 'T. KETLAND & CO', Georgian crown over 'G.R.' forwards of hammer, walnut three-quarter length handrail stock with carved apron around the top-tang, brass furniture, iron swivels and ramrod; TOGETHER WITH a period but poor condition socket bayonet (no scabbard)
