circa 1858, with blued 39in. barrel rifled in three grooves and signed '68 HAYMARKET LONDON S.W.', block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, the breech with commercial proofs, plain borderline engraved military-style lock signed 'T. Murcott & Co.', chequered walnut three-quarter stock, iron furniture including two barrel-bands, heel-plate and trigger-guard, provision for ramrod (missing); TOGETHER WITH a period yataghan Patt. 1856 bayonet missing scabbard, both items retaining their Weapons Collection identity plaques, the rifle also with its identity disk
