circa 1845, possibly for crocodiles, with re-browned 24in. smoothbore twist iron tapering round barrel, bead fore-sight, short rib at breech-end signed 'F. BARNES, LONDON', plain borderline engraved bar-action lock signed 'F. BARNES', slab-sided hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture including scrolled pistol-grip trigger-guard tang, moulded iron fore-end tip and ramrod throat and captive iron swivel ramrod
