circa 1860, with heavy octagonal 32 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat marked 'ACIER FONDU, dove-tailed tunnel fore-sight, the breech-block engraved with a gentleman in 19th century costume, the top-tang engraved with a figure of Adam wrestling the serpent and fitted with a micro-adjustable diopter sight, scroll engraved hump-back bar-action lock signed 'F. JEANNET AU LOCLE', scroll engraved hammer, walnut half-stock (cracked through at wrist with attempted plated repair), carved raised cheek-piece, Swiss-style crescent heel-plate, shaped trigger-guard with multiple finger-spurs, pierced wing-nut for quick release of lock, engraved nickel fore-end cap and iron ramrod
