Bohemian, circa 1720, with earlier probably shortened octagonal 21 3/4in. barrel signed on the top-flat 'HERANIMNS SCHENN 1661', dove-tailed brass fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, flat border engraved bevel-edged lock signed 'IOH WENTZL, BOEHM', engraved hammer and frizzen, lozenge shaped pan, unbridled frizzen, walnut full-stock with decorative carved borders around the furniture, (cracked through behind lock), sliding carved wooden patchbox, brass heel-plate and trigger-guard with raised finger-tang, faceted ramrod thimbles and wood ramrod
