28in. nitro barrels, rib engraved 'J. WHEATER (GUNMAKERS) LTD. HULL', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, automatic safety, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining virtually full original colour-hardening and much finish, 14 3/4in. figured stock with drop points, weight 6lb. 9oz.
Provenance: Joe Wheater is numbered amongst The Field's 100 best shots. Multiple winner of the British Open Sporting Clay Championship, Great Britain Olympic shot and subsequently Team manager.
