last quarter of the 20th century, with heavy 11 3/4in. clip-point blade, false edged for the last 5in. the remainder with carved scallop decoration, nickel-silver cross-guard with turned down and turned up quillions, polished horn handle fixed by six rivets, together with its makers tooled leather sheath
