Belgian, circa 1880, with ovoid 2 1/4in. barrel, shallow crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, the top-strap marked 'BRITISH BULLDOG', borderline and other engraved frame, plain cylinder, chequered walnut semi-birdshead grips, spurred hammer and folding trigger (return-spring weak), traces of nickel-plated finish
