A .690 FLINTLOCK SERVICE MUSKET, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
Continental, probably French, circa 1831, with brushed bright 40in. barrel, the top-tang with sighting groove, French-style military lock with illegible makers stamp, brass pan, walnut three-quarter stock, the right side of butt stamped with an illegible crest dated '1831', dished cheek-piece, iron furniture including trigger-guard tang with finger-ribs, two barrel bands and twin-banded nose-cap, iron ramrod, some staining to iron surfaces
