late type 1 production also known as a Model 2, circa 1870, with 3in. barrels, the sighting rib signed in two lines 'E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION' over 'ELLIOTS PATENT DEC 12TH 1865', sliding extractor, birdshead gripped frame with inset rounded smooth rosewood grips, blued hammer and spur trigger, some losses to the plated finish; COMPLETE WITH a later leather belt holster
