circa 1856, with blued 6in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraving at breech, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, the engraved top-strap signed 'JOHN BLISSETT, 322 HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON', standing notch rear-sight to rear of frame, borderline engraved plain colour-hardened cylinder with engraved rope-twist band to the leading edge, solid borderline and scroll engraved blued frame, polished spurred hammer, chequered walnut one-piece grip, iron butt-cap with provision for lanyard ring (missing), borderline and scroll engraved trigger-guard bow, border and scroll engraved hinged polished rammer, the whole retaining much original finish; TOGETHER WITH its retailers mahogany storage-case, lined and compartmented in green baize, the inside of lid with parchment 'Blissett' trade-label, the accessories all of the period and original to this revolver
