circa 1876, the first with slightly curved 25 1/2in. spear-point blade, sheet-iron basket hilt, composite chequered grips, unmarked other than '1077' stamped on the pommel, the second similar but with straight blade, ordnance marked at forte and dated '10/80', the pommel marked with a 'V', both minus scabbards
