circa 1860, the folding extractor marked '12', the large finger-ring attached to a folding brass whistle with steel mouth-piece, the mouth-piece in turn formed as a six-sided firing pin socket for a hammer-gun, the opposite end of the whistle with steel turn-screw blade, traces of nickel-plated finish to all except mouth-piece and blade
