29 1/2in. nitro reproved Whitworth steel chopperlump barrels (in 2015, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum) with matt rib, the tubes engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID. PRESSED STEEL', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and full choke, side-clipped self-opening treble-grip action with hidden third bite, manual safety, cocking-indicators, fine bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed and blued finish, 14in. figured stock including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, weight 7lb. 2oz.

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in November 1911 as a single trigger pigeon gun with 29 1/2in. barrels, for Count Fabbricotti
