AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE BOXED .22 BARREL-COCKING AIR-PISTOL, MODEL 'MARK II TARGET', serial no. 24422,
circa 1929, with blued rifled 7in. barrel, blued stepped air-chamber marked with five lines of patents on the left hand side together with the Birmingham and London address and six lines of patents on the right with the model designation, four pin trigger-group with MKI style trigger-adjuster (no provision for locking screw), rotating safe, chequered hard rubber grips embossed with the 'WS' monogram, the whole retaining virtually all its factory blue finish (mild abrasions to right hand side); COMPLETE WITH its manufacturers brown card carton, printed sepia label to lid with instructions to the reverse, the tray with provision for pellet samples and retaining a spare breech washer, generally good condition with scuffing to corners
