A SCARCE BOXED .177 BARREL-COCKING AIR-PISTOL, MODEL 'PRE-WAR STRAIGHT-GRIP SENIOR', serial no. S3121,
circa 1932, with sighted rifled 7in. barrel, blued stepped air-chamber marked with five lines of patents on the left hand side together with the model designation, Birmingham address and six lines of patents on the right, three pin trigger-group with no provision for trigger adjustment, chequered hard rubber grips embossed with the 'WS' monogram, the back-strap stamped 'W.R. PAPE, NEWCASTLE', partially refinished with some loss to detail; COMPLETE WITH its manufacturers card carton, printed pale blue label to lid, instructions to the inside, the lower tray with provision for sample pellets (label dirty, box end damaged by muzzle)
