possibly 18th century and worn over armour for ceremonial occasions, the main body of cream-coloured silk embroidered with floral designs and birds of paradise, with contrasting olive green facings embroidered with feathered scrolls, the inside facing of the collar with poly-chromatic embroidered designs and a central gold embroidered mon, the tops of the shoulders with strips of brigandine (some age splits to linings, generally excellent)
