circa 1800, with 35 1/4in. sighted barrels, the breech-end encased with a silver panel engraved with rococo ornament and signed 'JTY. BOUDET JEUNE', gold-lined touch-holes, partially silver-covered engraved grooved top-tang (cracked, tang screw replaced), flat locks engraved with rococo ornament on the right lock and with a game scene on the left lock, each lock with 'French' cock and rainproof pan, walnut semi-pistolgrip half-stock with fish-scale chequered grip, iron mounts comprising butt-plate and trigger-guard engraved with pheasant, silver mounts engraved with further rococo ornament including panels in front of the butt-plate and trigger-guard each with urn finial and panel behind the ramrod-entry with acorn finial, silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, iron sling mounts and later ramrod, some pitting to iron parts, cleaned overall, escutcheon probably replaced, wood cracked behind left lock and around top-tang
