A CONTINENTAL SILVER-MOUNTED HUNTING HANGER,
late 18th / early 19th century, with 23 1/4in. single-edged fullered spear-point blade incised on each side with stars, crescent moons, letters and numerals towards the ricasso, silver hilt comprising guard with short vertically recurved quillons with dog's head finials and collar incised with scrollwork surrounding the masks of dogs, fluted flat-sided hardwood grip, in silver-mounted leather scabbard en suite with the hilt (some discolouration to blade).
