A 20-BORE FLINTLOCK SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING CARBINE, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
German circa 1800, with 22in. swamped octagonal sighted barrel rifled with six grooves, the octagonal profile changing towards the muzzle, scroll and game engraved flat bevelled lock, walnut full stock with raised cheek-piece, sliding wooden patch-box cover, iron mounts and sling mounts, replacement iron ramrod, set removed from trigger (some cracks and repairs to stock, iron parts pitted).
