late 18th century, with 20 3/4in. blade chased with scrollwork and hunting scenes (some corrosion), brass hilt cast and chased in relief, the collars pierced with foliage inhabited by beasts, faceted grip formed from panels of tortoise-shell veneer, 'D' shaped knuckle-bow, no scabbard
