A FRENCH HUNTING HANGER WITH BLUE & GILT BLADE,
first half of the 19th century, with 25 1/2in. single-edged spear-point fullered blade etched with gilt trophies against a blued ground, brass hilt with small shell guard and short faceted quillons, diagonally grooved hardwood grip-scales, in original brass-mounted scabbard with provision for small knife (missing), scabbard broken through at tip.
