German, late 19th century, with 12 1/4in. spear-point blade broadly fullered on one side only, the reverse flat, iron hilt with shell guard, octagonal cross-section straight iron guard, staghorn grip-scales held with three pins, iron mounted leather sheath with frog-bar.
