A FRENCH HUNTING HANGER, 19th century, with 21in. spear-point blade double-edged for most of its length and with a piped back running into a raised medial ridge, etched with foliage on one side and an indistinct inscription on the other (some pitting), silver-plated cast hilt involving wolf-head finials to the quillons and hunting horns surrounded by foliage on the guard, swelled grooved horn grip, pommel cast with a crown (plating worn), in original leather scabbard with plated mounts en suite.
