A HUNTING HANGER WITH BLUE & GILT BLADE,
French, 19th century, with 23 1/4in. double-edged spear-point fullered blade etched with gilt trophies against a blued ground for half its length (rubbed), cast and chased brass guard with dog's head finials to the short straight quillons and guard with boar's head trophy, swelled fluted wood grip, in original brass-mounted leather scabbard (some discolouration and pitting).
