A CONTINENTAL HUNTING HANGER, PROBABLY FRENCH, 18th century, with 21 3/4in. curved single-edged spear-point fullered blade (some wear and discolouration) etched with scrollwork at the ricasso, cast and chased brass hilt including downturned shell guard all decorated with rococo ornament, 'D' shaped knuckle-bow, in original stained vellum scabbard with brass mounts en suite.
