late 19th century, with 17in. single-edged plated fullered spear-point blade, brass hilt with downturned shell guard decorated in relief with a running stag, hunting horn trophies and scrollwork (traces of gilding), short quillons respectively with lion- and lioness-head finials, natural staghorn grip, brass pommel, and original brass-mounted leather scabbard with extra stag-handled knife.
