A VERY RARE .44 (HENRY RIMFIRE) SIX-SHOT SINGLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'No3 AMERICAN', serial no. 2709?,
with 8in. barrel, raised sighting rib signed by the maker and with patent dates to August 1869, fluted cylinder, break-open frame and smooth walnut grips, the whole badly worn with some external pitting and possible small replacement parts
Other Notes: Only around 200 pistols were produced in this calibre, with most falling between the 4000-4200 serial number range.
