possibly also being the date and possibly the work of Francotte of Liege, with octagonal 6in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraving to the breech, border and scroll engraved top-strap with vacant banner to centre, plain cylinder with engraved band around leading edge and scroll engraved panels over each chamber, borderline and scroll engraved frame, engraved back-strap and pommel-cap, chequered walnut one-piece grip, scroll engraved trigger-guard bow and fitted with a Brazier-style rammer to the left side of barrel, the whole refinished with slight loss to engraved detail
