Belgian, possibly converted from flintlock circa 1835, with smoothbore octagonal 6in. barrels, applied fore-sights, standing notch rear-sights to the engraved top-tangs, borderline engraved flat bar-action locks with floral engraving to the tails, carved hammers, walnut three-quarter stocks with chequered grips, swollen pommels with iron caps and engraved iron trigger-guard bows, associated wood ramrods
