A NAMED BRITISH INFANTRY OFFICER'S PATTERN 1897 SWORD, no visible serial number,
1936/37, with spear-point 32in. straight blade, broad central fullers etched with 'ERVIII' crowns and floral motifs, a panel near the forte etched 'CAPTAIN E.G. PARKER', inlet Star of David proof-mark to the forte, the reverse signed 'FLIGHTS LTD, LONDON, ALDERSHOT AND CAMBERLEY', pierced iron half-basket guard with turned down inner guard, the outside with ERVIII cypher and engraving, rayskin covered wire-bound hilt, chequered nickel back-strap and domed pommel, complete with its leather field scabbard and rope sword-knot
