OSBOURNE FOR HENRY EGG, LONDON 12-BORE PINFIRE DOUBLE-BARRELLED HAMMER SPORTING-GUN, serial no. 5476 (5477), converted from muzzle-loading circa 1860, with browned damascus 29in. barrels, the top-rib signed 'HENRY EGG No1 PICCADILLY, LONDON' and 'CONVERTED INTO BREECH LOADERS BY CHAS. OSBOURNE' together with a '2' for number two of a pair, the barrels serial numbered on the underside '5477', border and scroll engraving to the breech-end, carved percussion fences, borderline and scroll engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action locks featuring gamebirds, chequered walnut butt-stock, the spur of the iron heel-plate also numbered '2', scroll engraved action-body and swing under-lever, the trigger-guard tang numbered '5476' (rubbed) and chequered walnut splinter fore-end
