LONDON.', and '1', the tubes 'MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, arcaded fences, toplever engraved '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving surrounding oval vignettes of setters and pointers, the underside with a portrait of a labrador, the triggerguard with a spaniel, brushed finish, 14 7/8in. well-figured stock (small crack left underhorn), weight 6lb. 10oz.
