late 19th to early 20th century, the massive folding 24in. blade of fruit-knife form, nickel-plated and embossed with 'PHILLIPS, CUTLER along the left hand side of blade in large letters (small losses to plating), false edged and scalloped back, plain plated main-spring, plated bolsters (loss to plating)polished hardwood scales held with seven pins, the left hand side with large inlet nickel rectangular vacant escutcheon, measuring 51in. overall when open (slight age split to right hand scale)
