A RARE .44-40 (WIN) SILVER, GILT AND ENGRAVED SINGLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'FRONTIER', serial no. 193704,
for 1900, probably plated and engraved in South America, with 7 1/2in. barrel, the first half of barrel fully scroll engraved surrounding the address panel, the ejector similarly engraved but with traces of gilt, fully scroll engraved frame, fully scroll engraved cylinder (traces of gilding) with plain gilded flutes, gilded and engraved hammer, fully scroll engraved grip-straps, engraved trigger-guard bow and fitted with smooth ivory grips (one currently detached), much silver-plate remaining, gilding thinning
