A RARE .44-40 (WIN) SIX-SHOT SINGLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL '1890 ARMY', no visible serial number,
circa 1892, with 5 1/2in. blued barrel signed 'REMINGTON ARMS CO, ILION, N.Y.', nickel fore-sight blade, fluted cylinder, solid frame with sighting groove to the top-strap, chequered hard rubber grips embossed at the top with a Remington monogram, provision for lanyard ring at heel (plugged with a screw), and spring-loaded ejector mounted to the right side of barrel with narrowed holster guide beneath, traces of original finish
Other Notes: Less than 2000 of these revolvers were produced between 1890-94
