circa 1925, with extra heavy tapering blued 30in. barrel signed 'WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO NEW HAVEN CONNECTICUT USA', and 'NICKEL STEEL ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDERS', banded fore-sight ramp with tunnel foresight, short separate dove-tail sight blocks near breech for an optical sight, colour-hardened bolt-action receiver signed 'U.S. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1903', micro adjustable period peep-sight fitted at rear of receiver, unchequered walnut half-stock with twin recoil cross-bolts, oversize solid brass hooked butt-plate, double set triggers, adjustable cork ball hand-rest for three position shooting fitted inside the magazine well, the magazine blanked for single shot, inlet accessory rail and fittings for sling, the whole retaining much original finish
